Hair Dreams by Christal, Inc. is a nonprofit providing personalized, non-surgical hair solutions to children and adults experiencing hair loss from cancer treatment, alopecia, burns, and other conditions.

When funding is available, Hair Dreams helps make these solutions accessible at little to no cost for individuals and families who may not otherwise be able to afford them; because everyone deserves the opportunity to feel confident, comfortable and like themselves again.

Hair loss is not physically life-threatening, but its emotional impact can be profound. For many people, it can affect confidence, identity, self-worth and connection, sometimes leading to feelings of isolation, sadness and a sense of no longer recognizing themselves.

Through expert care and compassionate support, we help each person regain more than their hair. We help restore confidence, comfort and a renewed self-image so they can move forward feeling more like themselves again.

FOUNDER + VISIONARY

For more than 30 years, Christal Mercier has been helping people feel confident through expert hair care, styling and custom hair replacement. As the President and Founder of Hair Dreams by Christal, she has turned that experience into a mission focused on helping individuals facing hair loss feel seen, supported and renewed.

Christal is a licensed cosmetologist, certified hair replacement specialist, custom wig specialist and accredited member of the American Hair Loss Council. Her hands-on approach is rooted in both skill and compassion, with each recommendation centered on the individual’s comfort, confidence and overall well-being.

Inspired by her sister Dena’s experience with hair loss, Christal created Hair Dreams to make high-quality hair solutions more accessible and to help others move forward with renewed self-image and hope.
